Highland County HAS Partnered with PHI Cares for Emergency Air Medical Coverage
Effective through July 14, 2025
The County Board of Supervisors has approved a PHI Air Medical emergency transportation agreement for the residents of Highland County, Virginia. This partnership provides PHI Air Medical transport benefits, giving peace of mind and financial protection during emergencies when transported by PHI Air Medical. Residents are covered under the limited coverage membership for transports originating in Highland, Bath, Pendleton (WV), Pocahontas (WV), Randolph (WV), and Augusta Counties.

- No extra costs: No out-of-pocket expenses for emergency air medical transportation within the specified coverage area.
- Upgrade Opportunity: Highland County residents can upgrade their PHI Cares Membership to National Household Coverage for 1, 3, 5, or 10 years at a special annual rate of $30 per household.
